What the account is
A shelved library arc for the task-context compiler and generic work-receipt instrument. Disposition is shelved / moot by Human direction (FIND-722 and the cold forensic packet). Five bounded REQs were fulfilled; fulfillment does not keep the product arc live. Observed at git base 2fbcf791… with last observation 2026-08-24T19:51:21-04:00.
What it attempted
Give Hands and Eyes a compact, deterministic context capsule for one accepted job: static repository structure for a bounded working set, provider-native session evidence for what a worker was told, read, changed, and tested, and a generic work receipt joining that evidence to TRACE so replay could measure omitted context, excess context, widening, and review misses.
How delivery moved
FIND-620 opened unbound provider-native streams; PROP-139/140 became REQ-253 and REQ-254. FIND-665 separated the static compiler from the receipt rail; REQ-255 delivered the standalone compiler. REQ-258 delivered a generic work receipt; FIND-697 found its uniqueness gate under-met; REQ-261 mended that bounded gate. All five landed fulfilled in the owning store.
Where evidence narrowed the claim
FIND-695 showed compiler replay as internal consistency, not session-derived accuracy — no accepted real diff made diff_bound=True; PROP-153 was withdrawn. FIND-677/679/681 showed post-hoc convention binding could alias siblings or miss child work. FIND-697 undercut the receipt relation for the historical closed-TRACE case it was meant to serve.
Shelf and later merits
The Human shelved the combined product; FIND-722 and the cold archive preserve that disposition. A later TRACE-399/400 trial exposed stale generic-receipt seams; FIND-772 forced independent evidence; FIND-774 supplied it; FIND-775 returned NULL on repairing or reviving work_receipt.py and kept the shelf.
What still earns keep
Independent of the shelved product: host-witness capture (REQ-265), typed PATCH lineage (REQ-269), and provider-aware historical binding (REQ-272). The compiler remains an inert standalone experiment with focused tests and no production caller. Existing line count confers no right to continued use.
